"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter" -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

People matter...Children matter...the beautiful melodious sounds of these children singing fills and warms my heart to no greater extension of humanity.
And while I am just merely one person who finds these issues important, perhaps I can bring some awareness from the confines of my comforted home and laptop of some of these issues to young people worldwide...even if it means starting with my small audience of one.

So to honor the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I can only ask that you too start to believe that "our lives DO end the day we become silent about things that matter"

These are our children. Children whose faces bright up at the mere thought that the possibility of their smiles and joy are reflected back on a recording device..No sound, no backdrop, and no music to evoke the true sadness that these children live through everyday...These children wave vivaciously wearing torn and ragged clothing, no shoes and have very little in possession just so that you can 'meet' them. I hope they touch you, for you to want to reach out across the world to do the research, get on the phones to donate to a cause and charity, to cry and weep for these children who have no one else because they've lost their parents to a horrific epidemic like AIDS..they are our responsibility to care. They are ours to help and to love.
These children need more than what you and I can give them individually.

But, if I can get my audience of one to read this and feel more for these children than they might have prior to reading this blog. Than I can feel content with reaching one person and hope that you too, will share this with one other person who may do the same.

Why be silent when things like this impact our world and the lives of you and I?

I hope I can convince you to care more through these simple slices of fruitful thought..
